Information we collect
When you register, we collect your full name, public display name, email, ZIP code, account type, and any optional phone number you provide. We record the policy versions you accept and your optional marketing preference. Authentication stores a password hash, account and session identifiers, session expiry, and technical information such as IP address and browser details. We do not store your password in readable form.
We also collect company profiles, listing and waiting-list requests, reviews, support messages, and records of actions taken in the directory. Company profiles include business contact information, description, website and container sizes. If you purchase a listing, we store subscription, checkout and payment status identifiers; Stripe processes payment details on its own checkout. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
How we use information
We use this information to operate accounts, publish directory listings and approved reviews, manage positions and subscriptions, maintain the waiting list, respond to requests, prevent abuse, and keep administrative records. ZIP codes help us understand the areas our customers use. We may review account and directory activity to improve the service.
Marketing emails require a separate, optional opt-in. Registration, writing a review and buying a listing do not require marketing consent. You can withdraw that consent in your account or through the contact form. We do not treat a phone number as permission to send marketing calls or texts.
Public and private information
Your public display name, review rating and approved review text appear on company profiles. Business details you supply for an active company listing are public and may be indexed by search engines. Avoid placing personal or sensitive information in these public fields.
Your account email, full name, ZIP, optional account phone, marketing choice, waiting-list requests, support messages and private CRM notes are accessible to authorized administrators, rather than published in directory responses. A company’s business email or phone may be public when you supply it as listing contact information.
Service providers and disclosures
The site uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting and database storage. Authentication runs within our application using Better Auth. Stripe handles listing payments when checkout is enabled. If account email delivery is configured, email addresses and necessary message content are sent to our email delivery provider, Resend.
Providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect users and the service, investigate abuse, or carry out a business transfer with appropriate notice where required. We do not currently sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Cookies and security
We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in and protect account actions. Our application does not currently include advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. Hosting providers may process request logs for security and delivery. We use password hashing and access restrictions, but no online service can promise perfect security.
Retention and your choices
We retain account information while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. Listing, payment, review, consent and support records may be retained as needed to resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. We do not currently apply a single automatic deletion period to all records.
You can edit your profile and company information in your account and change your email marketing preference. Use the privacy request form to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your data, or exercise other rights available under applicable law. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account. Tell us the request and account email; do not send your password. Some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons. Search engines and third-party copies may retain previously public information after it is removed here.
Children and policy changes
Accounts are intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided information. We will post updates to this policy here and provide additional notice or request consent when required by applicable law.
